Instructor Basic Certification Fee: $250.00
A non-refundable
deposit of $100.00 must be paid in order to receive study guide.
**Certification now
includes American Basic Water Rescue, which is valid for 3 years and if you
already have this certification or are Lifeguard Certified, the
Certification Fee is only $200.00.

HAVE YOUR STUDY GUIDE AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO CERTIFICATION DATE!
Studying the material prior to the certification course will better prepare
you for the lecture and the test and will help you form questions for the
instructor trainer.
- Balances are due before
class begins on Friday evening.
- Certification dates
and locations are subject to change.
- A minimum of 5 people
are required in order to offer the event.
- Our 12 hour, 1 &
1/2 day certification course includes a study guide, lecture, review,
practical and written testing, lunch and a t-shirt.

- All courses are approved by AFAA and AEA for CEC’s. You may petition for credits from ASCM,
and ACE.
- Certification is
valid for 2 years.
- CPR and American
Red Cross Basic Water Rescue are both pre-requisites. We are able to
provide Red Cross CPR certification for a fee of $45.00 and American Red
Cross Basic Water Rescue Certification for a fee of $50.00. Both of these pre-requisite courses are
offered at a separate time. A list of these courses can be found under our
CEC link. Current S.S. & Company
certified instructors can audit the class and earn 7.0 CEC's for a fee of
$45.00.
-A candidate must
successfully complete a written examination as well as a practical
examination to become SS & Company Certified. Candidates scoring below
the minimum requirements may retake the certification course at a future date
and location within a one year period. The fee for retaking the course is
$45.00.
- Certification must be
renewed prior to the two-year expiration date or full fees will apply. If
20 hours of continuing education hours are fulfilled and submitted prior to
expiration date, re-certification fee is $60.00. If you were unable to
obtain the 20 hours need for recertification, you will need to attend the
one and one-half day certification and pay a recertification fee of
$100.00. This fee will include your
manual, lunch, testing and a t-shirt.

Anatomy and Kinesiology Applied to the Physical Characteristics of
Water with the Laws of Physics.
8:15pm - 9:00pm: Pool
Review. Working Positions, Aqua
Physics and Anatomy. Review.
Typical Saturday
Time Schedule: 9:00am - 6:00pm
9:00am - 12:00pm: Classroom
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch (provided) & Study Time
1:00pm – 3:00pm: Pool Review, Teaching Techniques, Application of Aquatic
Exercise Equipment.
3:00pm - 4:00pm: Practical Test in the Pool
4:00pm - 5:00pm: Considerations for Special Populations & Basic
Nutrition
5:00pm - 6:00pm: Written Test
